Top 12 Strategies - How To Find Your Path In Life
In order to answer the question "how to find your path in life", first of all I'd like to clarify that finding your path in life is different AND MORE IMPORTANT than finding your purpose in life... When people talk or explore finding their purpose in life a lot of them have ideas on their purpose, but they don't know where to start. Or a lot of other people make passion lists, do's and dont's list but they still are not able to find their purpose. Or people question themselves "is this what I am supposed to be doing"?
And then once you want to take action to find your purpose in life, another big challenge that most people have when making changes in life is "fear". For example "fear" of making the wrong choice, fear of not being good enough, fear of failure and so on. This fear may result in pain, embarrassment, confusions and of course we don't want that.
However, when you focus on how to find your path in life... the mind is less fixated on how things "should be" and certain outcomes. You see, when you focus on your purpose you want it to be perfect, you want to be an expert at what you do, you want to work for the best company, you want to work every day with passion... but when you focus on how to find your path in life you are not focused on an outcome and so the barrier for change, the barrier for perfection and to be good enough and to be accepted is less challenging, there is less pressure and less fear. So there is less resistance for change...
When you focus on how to find your path in life, your purpose will then evolve over time and your purpose will come out of finding your path... this is the missing key that many personal development guru's and teachers forgot to tell you.
All too often personal development gurus talk about finding your purpose in life, and here's the thing you don't need to find it, "you need to focus on how to find your path in life" and that will lead you to your purpose... make sense?
There are basically 4 types of people searching for how to find your path in life
One: I don't have a clue, I never thought about it, I don't know, I don't care, life purpose and path is BS
Two: I've heard about it, I'm confused, lost, insecure, I want to find it but I don't know how
Three: I've made actions to find my path and purpose but I'm still struggling, I don't know how to make the right choices how come I'm still not happy, is this where I am supposed to be
Four: I'm on my path in life and my purpose is evolving as I grow older, I am contributing and giving back, while never stop learning on the life journey..
Which group do you belong to?
Here are 12 strategies that can help you answer the question "how to find your path in life"
1. There is always uncertainty... so learn to be comfortable with it. There is no right or wrong choice, there is only a choice... so make the choice you believe will lead you to your life path. How? Use your intuition and gut feeling.
2. Patience, you can NOT speed up your finding your path and your purpose in life... you can only cultivate your purpose which is like you give water to a flower. So focus on your path and overtime your purpose will reveal itself. TIP: use your Monk Intuition when you make decisions
3. Combine your passions, one of my friends is 7 times Canadian Kayaking Champion, Executive Coach, Speaking Coach and developed a painting technique as an artist called "Painting Without a Brush"... she doesn't chose one purpose, she's simply on her path in life and her purposes will evolve overtime
4. Connect the dots on your life journey to see your path more clearly (what major studies, interests and experiences you have had that leads you to where you are today). How can you use those talents and experience to cultivate something new
5. Experiment! When I started public speaking 7 years ago I didn't know who would be my right audience, in which part of the world, and how large they would be. It is only through speaking in front of different groups, universities, fortune 500 companies, high school students, different group sizes from 100's to 10 that I learned that leaders and high achievers is the best audience for me in both speaking and mentoring.
6. Be aware that for some of you, your path in life does not exist yet! Everyone's path is unique of course. Now what do I mean by that? It's possible that no one has walked the path that is destined for you. For example, you are born to do something unique to develop a new technology that does not exist, to develop a new clothing line, to become the first person on mars. The point I'm trying to make is that it's hard if you don't have a reference point in the external world and you feel you're alone and not sure about your path. That's OK. One step at a time daily will get you there, follow your Monk intuition... don't focus on your purpose, focus on your finding your path in life (In my case I have a path that didn't exist: I'm an introvert, doing public speaking, teaching about spirituality in life towards businesses moving to China... there are so many contradictions in my life and figuring it out has been a long process. And it's my path in life that led me to my purpose in life which is now helping people find their path in life (ironic).
7. Learn to trust that the right people will come in the right way for the right reason. When I published my first 7 years ago a coach came after my talk and she offered free public speaking to me, exactly what I needed
8. Stop looking at other people and the external world, no one can tell you what your path in life is, you need to figure it out, each day one step at a time. Take action and let life take it's own flow. This is how you cultivate...
9. Pay Attention to the little voice inside your head. What keeps coming back to you? What are you saying to yourself consciously and subconsciously about what you should be doing with your life? Once you identify and make it specific, take one small action to get closer to that goal.
10. Go and volunteer in a cause that is important for you. Finding your path in life is figuring out which elements in the outside world connect with your inner world.
11. Learn to become an observer of yourself. Sometimes we are too much caught up in our minds because of email, our phone, TV. Take a step back and simply reflect on your day. What did work for you today? What didn't work? What inspired me? What new thoughts came up?
12. And finally if you look at the news today and the worldly problems? How can you help become the world a better place? What is your gift?
Take some time to reflect on these strategies and insights.
In a nutshell, how to find your path in life is simply done by following your heart and intuition. The external world and business, marketing, sales and making money is driven by the Suit or mind, when finding your path, don't use your mind, use your heart, have trust and faith in life... this is how you align both your internal and external self.
There are people who live their life only based on goals and expectations, that's not where you want to go. It's OK to be successful but if that's not in line with who you are you will not be happy, you will burnout and feel lonely. You want to live a life true to yourself and that is to find YOUR way... the way of your heart, all you need to do is to learn to listen.
The journey of life is the journey towards self-realization, in order to close that gap you need to close the gap between your external world your SUIT and your internal world your MONK and finding your path is one way of doing so...

We know that 'To Err Is Human'. However, we are always doing mistakes. Notwithstanding, a mentor will help you eliminate your mistakes. A mentor has already made all the mistakes that you are making or yet to make. So, it has become easier for you to work efficiently with fewer mistakes. A great mentor will point out your mistakes and will tell you what to do and how to do to cover the mistakes that you made.

Meditation, Visualization And Manifestation
A lot of people adopt meditation techniques to relax and keep themselves stress-free. They are now gradually realizing the significance of meditation activities in their daily life. Even doctors accept and recommend it as a good way to treat certain health disorders as also a way to maintain a healthy life.
Meditation activities are now widely carried out as a simple exercise though it requires time and practice to master it. With regular practice, one can perfect the art and make it a daily ritual. Through patience and consistent practice, it is very easy to master this technique. You will, however, need to build your powers of visualization to perfect the art of meditation.
Visualization is an art commonly used by more or less every person without being aware of it. Generally, children are very quick in seeing and remembering certain things when they notice something. Grown-ups need to concentrate more as their mind is always clustered with so many other things, that they sometimes are not able to concentrate their mind on one object at a given time. Visualisation plays a very important role in the art of mediation. Therefore, you must learn to master the art of visualization before you finally become a meditation expert.
Though visualization can be easily mastered, some individuals need to really struggle to learn this. Practice is the only means through which you can master the visualization.
You can perform a very simple exercise to become perfect at visualization. All you have to do is just pick any one of the many objects lying in your house and place it on a table with no other thing on it. Now, concentrate by looking at the object for a few minutes and make an effort to identify the fine details and try to remember them. After this close your eyes and try to imagine the same object in your mind. Try to frame a mental picture of the object with as many things you remember having seen. Try to also mentally experience the feel of the object and your own mental or emotional feelings about the object. Did you enjoy or feel stressed out?
Next, pay attention to a new object after clearing the details of the previous one. Repeat the same procedure and again find out how much you are able to succeed in this experiment. Always concentrate and pay close attention to all the relevant information about an object. After completion, you realize that there were few missing links or substance while recalling the object's details with your imagination.
Visualization can be sometimes quite stressful for beginners but they should keep trying instead of worrying and giving up. These stressful feelings will soon die out and you can perform visualization related exercises with full ease.
So, just keep practicing and master the visualization technique to help you become better at meditation and manifest abundance in all aspects of your life.. be it health, wealth or love.

The Power Within
How much are you tuned into what you can accomplish on a daily basis? Unless you have been under a rock for the last twenty years, you heard that doggone commercial about the whole 'Done more before Nine am, than most people do ALL DAY!'
Aint that amazing? People bragging about doing more at a time in the morning when most people SHOULD be resting their eyes, and dreaming? No really, let me back off of that, because I am actually joking.
See, I brought that up for one reason, because you MUST be able to tap INTO THAT POWER WITHIN, and so much of that comes by Doing things as soon as they hit you. Your true power within is held up in the MOMENT that you arrive at a 'Lets Do This' moment. You CAN do it, and it is within you to succeed, but you have to know that you can. That is so much more than the power of belief, it is really about the Power Within.
Ok, wait, I think that there has been a bit much of that whole 'Unlock your potential', 'Power Within' stuff. No offense to Tony Robbins, or any of those magnificent speakers and motivational-ist. I simply can't hear those words without feeling like I am about to hear Tom Vu selling me a real estate course to make MILLIONS tomorrow, and have girls and boats and cars and big houses.
Hold on, YES, I do want the houses and boat, and cars, but I don't want to be tricked into thinking that it will somehow come magically. It won't. I have to MAKE it happen, and it is all within my power.
I was bestowed with the gift of doing something, and it simply took me the time to discover it, tap into it, and then just let the spigot flow. This was simple for me, once I really knew what it was I was supposed to be doing. Not sure if I got some kind of supercharge, or the Power was really already there, but I know that once the Flow hit me, I was in it, and ON MY WAY.
I realized that My Power was on fire, and all I needed to do was take the necessary actions. That same Power within, is something that you TOO must recognize IS THERE, but must be used, to get the results you want.
Now, let's be real - it is not easy to know, realize, or even believe that you have that kind of Power, unless you have experience SEING it in your life. Most of us don't. We soend time doing things, without even thinking about how we got it done. We Use the Power Within all of the time. Here, I will give you some examples.
What about that time you went for that job that seemed like it may be a BIT out of your reach, but you delivered your resume anyhow. After sitting for a few days, thinking that you COULD do the job, and hoping against hope the call would come in, you would dream about being in that office, and you could just about hear the voice of your future boss. This is simply an amazing feeling, and you are ready as soon as the call comes.
Then, like you had wished it into your life, the call comes, you get the job, and you excel at it for years into your future. What was the moment where you used your Power Within? Can you identify it? It was when you DELIVERD that resume` and then TOOK the job when it was offered. You took your aim at what you wanted, believe in it, and it came. You took the action step of TAKING your resume in, and taking the interview and GETTING THE JOB. Your Power got you there.

You took the action step of TAKING your resume in, and taking the interview and GETTING THE JOB. Your Power got you there.
Wait though, I have more. What about a time we have all experienced, in one fashion or another - loss of a loved one. Whether a close family member, a dear friend, or even a family pet, loss is loss, and it hurts. It is likely, at first you had thoughts of not feeling like it would EVER be ok. You probably thought to yourself, that you just weren't going to be able to make it another day.
Well, I am here to congratulate you - you are here today, and reading this. See, you have to give yourself credit where credit is due. You USED your Power Within, to survive the pain you felt from that loss. And further, you did get out of bed, you DID get back into life, and you did take the step to get moving again.
The bottom line here, is that you have Power Within, and you can access it. It is OK to wonder about IF you can, but you MUST take steps to try and access it more and more. As you get better at it, you will create a habit of it, and then it will come as a natural response, every time you need it.
We all have this Power inside of us, and we simply have to find the tools to acces and USE it to our benefit. We ALL can do it, we just have to KNOW HOW. That is why THIS site exists, and I implore you, DON'T STOP COMING....the answers will reveal themselves as we go long.
From here, I think I will touch on a Loop Tape commentary, that you should really enjoy. It is all about how the training we do to help ourselves DO more effectively, can be, no, BETTER be used over and over, to make habits realities.
So, til then, I bid you peace and blessings.
Keeping in the Flow...

From Employee to Entrepreneur - The Importance of Time Management
Making the jump from steady employment to a new life as an entrepreneur will most likely turn your regular day to day routine on its head. To make the change successful, you really have to understand the importance of time management.
As an employee, you probably went into work every day and had a defined role where you'd know pretty much exactly what you'd need to complete and the time you had to do each task. You had 8 hours at work to close yourself off from your home life and focus on your job. You were probably able to browse the web throughout the day with no-one noticing or distract yourself by chatting to colleagues and yet you'd still bring home the same salary every month regardless of effort.
As an entrepreneur, you'll probably have a much wider variety of tasks that need to be done, some of which are likely to take you away from the core money making part of your business. You'll need to determine for yourself the jobs that need to be accomplished during the day and make decisions regarding your schedule. Perhaps the biggest implication regarding the importance of time management is that if you fail to accomplish the tasks that needed to be done, it could result in a direct loss of income - or no income at all.
If you are home-based, you have to carefully balance the demands of home and work to keep a healthy overlap between work and family life. You no longer have the routine of going into the office for 8 hours a day to focus solely on work. When you're home based, it's easy to be distracted by running a couple of errands, going to the shops, doing some cleaning, or picking the kids up from school. You have to learn to be strict with yourself about what task is most important, and make sure you do it first.
Here are some tips to get you in the habit:
- Write a To Do list - and stick to it!
- Prioritize your To Do list in to categories, e.g., If there will be serious consequences of not doing something, label it "A", if there is something you should do but it's not going to seriously affect you if you don't do it immediately, then label it "B", and if there is something that you'd like to do, but it's not important then label it "C". Make sure you do the "A" jobs first!
- Begin every day with the most difficult task, it's likely to be the one thing that adds the most value to your day but the thing you are most keen to avoid.
- Avoid distractions! Turn off your email, don't allow yourself to browse on the internet.
- Give yourself a set amount of time to get a job done and reward yourself with a break when you finish.
- Consider the consequences of what you're doing, and you'll know whether or not it is worth your time to do it.
- Be realistic about how long something takes to do. If you put too many things on your list you won't do each job justice because you'll be rushing to complete it.
Remember, everyone gets distracted from time to time. Acknowledging the importance of time management and putting it into practice are two different things, but keep working on it. You'll know that you're getting it right if at the end of the day you've accomplished everything that was on your to do list and you will have the satisfaction of knowing that the tasks you did that day will lead to the attainment of your goals and objectives

5 Tips on How to Deal With Procrastination
There are many different on how to deal with procrastination. But it can be really benign. Do you hear yourself saying "I'll clean out the garage, uh.... next week..."? We could get away with that case, but it can be more serious, especially when it affects your professional and personal deadlines. It affects your performance, especially when you cram your way to finish your work before deadline: sometimes the output can be of low quality. This is actually true to most of us online marketers.
Everyone procrastinates once in a while, even the most focused and productive people do it. But if it starts to occur more often than it should be, then you are slowly turning into a lazy couch potato. the feeling is always accompanied by being anxious, guilty, and even depressed. When this happens, you have to consider looking for professional help. And for those who find themselves bitten by this lazy bug, here a five tips on how to deal with your procrastination.
1.) Take it one step at a time. Elephants eat their food one take at a time. When you work, you should also do the same. Finish one task at a time. Do not be overwhelmed with the fact that you have to finish tons of work and do not overwhelm yourself with too much work.
2.) Limit yourself with each task. Always say to yourself that you have to finish returning phone calls within an hour, or you will finish writing a page of essay within 30 minutes. Much better if you can put a timer beside you. Do this and you will just be amazed on how you can do things fast!
3.) Make your self talk in a positive note. Instead of saying "I gotta..." or "I have to...", scrape it out and replace it with "I choose to..." and you have to recognize that you chose to do it. Because if you did not choose it, the do not do it in the first place.
4.) Make appointments with yourself. This could be administrative work, such as paying up bills or doing the groceries, or it can be a pleasure time such as catching up with a good book or pamper yourself with a massage. Whatever it is, treat it like how you treat an appointment with a human being (not that you aren't).
5.) One of the things that you can do on how to deal with procrastination is to spare 15 minutes of your time each day to check on the calendar and gather the things that needs to be done for tomorrow. That way you could be able to plan ahead for the next day.
Those are the 5 tips I can share on how to deal with procrastination. It may take time to actually get used to this tips but when you already are familiar with it, you will just be surprised on how productive you are, more than what you can actually think of yourself. If you are an online marketer and you can follow these tips on how to here is a good link that will teach you how to get more MLM leads.

7 Tips to Improve Focus
Focus is where your attention is. Focus is intentional or unintentional, internal or external. It is vital for the success of any endeavor.
The purpose of improving your focus is to learn to focus on what is important to you. This is purposeful focus. This type of focus allows you to do your best work in an efficient way.
Tips to Improve Focus:
Commit: In order to narrow and fine-tune your focus you must commit to the project you are working on. You must feel the need to complete your project, whether it is a personal need or job related.
Set Goals: Plan out your project in great detail so that you know you are starting at the beginning. Make a logical progression to prevent unneeded steps, which would mean wasted time and effort.
Declutter your life: This step is vitally important, you must allot the time to work on your project. Take a look at your life and ask yourself: Do I need to be doing all this stuff now? Delegate jobs to other people to allow yourself more time to work on your project.
Set a specific time to work: Do not allow any other appointments to interfere. Let voicemail take your calls. Put a "Do Not Disturb" sign on your closed-door. Working on your project at the same time everyday will make it a habit, and you will have an easier time focusing.
Set a daily task: This task needs to fit in the allotted time and know that you will not move on to another task until completed and the quality is the best you can offer. You do not want to waste time having to go back and re-do shoddy work.
Ask questions: If you are unclear on any part of the project or on the method to do the research, ask questions. Get help from other people who have experience on the project you are working on. It is a great time waster to keep searching for some piece of information when you can get it by asking for help.
Take a break: If you are sitting there staring at your computer screen and are not being productive because you keep thinking about something that happened earlier. Take a short break, go for a walk, get some fresh air, and take some deep breaths. This will help you center yourself and allow you to get back to work and able to focus.
A person is able to do a better job when focused. Use these tips to reign in a wandering mind. Amaze yourself with what you can do.

Ambition Is Vital For Our Success
Ambition is drive based on a strong desire to reach a particular goal and to possess things of our choice. All persons in this Earth are not ambitious. It is only between 3 to 13% of the people who are actually ambitious in life. While many people are not ambitious they just want three things in life and that is food, sleep and clothing. They are happy with the three.
While many people are not educated and do not know how to plan their ambitions. Whereas you will find people who are uneducated but have a great ambition to success. You will find the same category of people in the educated class who know pretty well about ambition and yet they are not ambitious.
It is necessary that all of us have an ambition in life but one must not be over ambitious. It is also your ability to convert your dreams into reality. Contrary to a popular belief this special drive is a quality based or activated only by comparatively a few persons. Mildly expressed aims, intentions or wants and the single minded purpose, all that we call ambition. Have an ambition and the most important aspect is to work towards it. You will succeed.
Ambition is usually thought of in connection with ambitious people especially those who strive for fame. Many feel that ambition is a lust for fame. The same motivation underlines the general belief that ambition is the immodesty of the mind. Ambition is the foremost creative stimulant, and there is a belief that ambition is vigorous by nature. Certainly, overblown ambition is bad. The role of ambition in a person's life alters with time.
God gave man a general aim. But He left it to the man to seek the means by which this aim can be achieved. He left it to the man to choose the position in society most suited for him from which he could best uplift himself and society. But it is not only ambition which can arouse sudden enthusiasm for a particular profession. We may perhaps have embellished it in our imagination, so much that it appears to be the highest that life can offer.
Wholesome ambition is a great motivator of self respect provided it is a wholesome ambition and not a morbid ambition of someone seeking kudos. Sound ambition makes a person strive to be a better person and looks for guidance.
As a person matures, his motives change and among other things ambition fails and gets lowered at some point in life. This happens to some people earlier than others, but either way ambition is dropped, the boosters of ambition are dropped after placing the spacecraft of personality in the proper orbit of life. If you look at the most successful people in the world today, living and the dead, you will observe most of them were very ambitious at a very young age and this factor was responsible for driving them to their destiny. Have an ambition and the most important aspect is to work towards it. You will succeed.
Many people fail in their lives in spite of having an ambition. The main reason for it is either one does not chase his dreams or he takes a digression in between. One has to nurture his ambition and put in all his efforts. He must also be prepared for any failure and he must persevere till his goal is achieved. The late Sanjay Gandhi had a great ambition of giving a small car to every family which has seen Maruthi on the roads today. He does not live today, but the dreams he nurtured was carried out by the others. His ambition had paid off.

It's Never Too Late
You wish you could get one of the great-looking jobs you see advertised every day in the papers; but there's no use even applying for them because you haven't got the qualifications they demand.
If you actually are in that position, you won't have to imagine it - it's all too true. Many people in go-nowhere jobs are just resigned to the fact, because they assume it's too late to do anything about it. After all, they say, how can I quit my job and go back to college? The bills have to be paid, and this is the only job I'm qualified to do.
Well, the good news is that it's never too late to get new qualifications or certifications. Distance learning means that you can study a new skill or get a professionally recognised qualification without having to leave your current job.
How is this possible? Simple. Distance learning is home study. You can take almost any kind of IT course or acquire any commercially useful skill, all from the comfort of your own home. Take IT, for instance. There will always be a demand for good IT technicians, programmers, designers and managers - and there are many IT courses available through home study.
A good course provider will offer you excellent support from qualified tutors, who can assist you and regularly assess your progress. They will also send you all the course material you need, and you can submit your work by post or email.
The great thing about home learning is its flexibility. You work at your pace, and at your time - so you can fit your home study regime around your current lifestyle commitments. Because you work in the comfort of your own home, distance learning is often cheaper than studying nine to five in a school or college.
And there's no travel cost to worry about. Indeed, it doesn't matter how far away your course provider is. It could be on the other side of the world and still be only an Internet connection away.
Home learning is modular, so you can work at your own speed to complete the course. Some people with very little spare time might take a couple of years to get a particular qualification; others might do it in less than half the time. But whatever your circumstances, you should be able to find a course and a schedule to suit you.
So, thanks to home study, you really can change your destiny to something brighter and more exciting than you ever imagined. Sign up for a distance learning course today - and you'll soon find that there is light at the end of the tunnel after all.

Top 3 Books for Inspiration on How To Work Smarter, Not Harder
Working smarter, not harder! So what else is out there but college, job, debt and working until you die? What other kind of lifestyle is possible?
I love working smarter. And I know this because I started my professional life working HARD. And yes, I got burned out. I "managed" to develop the chronic fatigue syndrome before turning 30. This is why I love working smarter, not harder. And by smarter, I also mean being honest, legal and with respect and dedication for what you do.
So how is that even possible? Where to start?
I was studying for my BA in business in economics, when I was thinking what to do with my life. Pursuing good grades, so I can keep my scholarship. I wanted to be a good student, so I can have good recommendations. Those would help me get a good job, and once I had my own income and not be supported by parents, my life could actually begin. Sounds familiar?
At age 19, I was searching for information on a project I had to finish in the university library. As I was wandering around the isles, I stumbled upon a title that sounded not at all academic. It said "Rich dad, poor dad" by Robert Kiyosaki. Hm! That made me curious. I picked it up and read the back cover. I took it with me and read it in the following days.
Wow! That was the turning point! I was so grateful to have found it so early in life! And a bit sad I hadn't read it at about 12! I dare to say it was life changing! It showed me what else out there would be possible, how to do something else in life, to earn a good living, and not be an employee for the rest of my life! In an honest way, again! After that, I started looking for alternatives. Wondering what else is out there that I haven't heard of. And now of course, simply reading that book didn't mean I read it, snapped my fingers and turned into a millionaire. But I know I am making considerably better life decisions than not having those information.
I will put below a summary of the books that I found so far and have a tremendous effect on me. Specifically those books that teach and show something else than being a good employee.
1. Robert Kiyosaki: Rich Dad, Poor Dad: A book which is worth its weight in gold, for each copy that is being read by someone who has had no financial education. How can I summarize it so you can understand you need to read this word by word, by yourself? Let's see if I can succeed.
Chances are, you were born in a family where one or both income providers (parents, grandparents, older brothers) were employees. We too, have learnt, by imitation, the same thinking habits: get a job, work for others, be there on time, leave on time, get a paycheck (and live paycheck to paycheck). Also think about how wonderful would be if you had another job, with a bigger salary and more perks. This is what the author calls the rat race. Robert Kiyosaki explains very well how people who become wealthy think differently. They educate themselves (financially), take educated, calculated risks, learn what is necessary, not mandatory. Also, they develop a habit of saving, then LEARN to invest. And LEARN how to make money work for them. And all those concepts are very well explained.
On the other side, if I am to notice something that I dislike about this resource, is the fact that it tends to be a bit outdated in offering real-life examples; the business world and entrepreneurial opportunities have multiplied massively with the Internet and his work doesn't cover that area. Of course, the mindset and principles are still applicable, but the examples are of the old economy, primarily regarding physical products and real estate.
2. Choose Yourself by James Altucher. James Altucher is the kind of author that writes a lot about his personal experiences, very bluntly. And very openly, especially about his failures. He writes in blog style; unusual for a book but you'll appreciate his openness. Also, his personal blog is the main source of information and inspiration, because it's always keeping up with developments in the real business world (which is online-integrated).
Specifically in the mentioned book, James Altucher explains that the economy (and society) have already changed. We are now in an idea economy. That is, what is most valuable, unable to copy, unable to outsource to China and always in demand is your own creativity. Working smarter is necessary, working harder is no longer a winning formula. And the ability to reinvent what you do, what you have to offer to the world and the skills you mostly use in your daily life. James Altucher has a radical approach in his views. But we need to hear this, rather sooner than later.
The time of the employee is passing, the time of the artist-entrepreneur is coming. He shows that if you choose to be an employee and to work for a company, you must be aware that businesses change very, very, very fast. And not only that, but their focus is not people (as I'm sure all corporations state on their office walls) but PROFIT. And once the primary business purpose for which you were employed is no longer producing the desired profitability rate, the corporation will change. It will change the product offering, the processes, the assignments of people, they will change people, and the amount of people working.
The alternative proposed by James Altucher, both in his book, and in recurrent material he is creating on his blog, is the following: The momentum for being an employee has passed; now is the time of the artist entrepreneur. That means choosing yourself: doing what you love, something you love so much that you don't even feel like making an effort when you're working at it. I don't quote much, but I simply need to add this so you'll understand why you need to read this: "Success comes from continually expanding your frontiers in every direction-creatively, financially, spiritually, and physically. Always ask yourself, what can I improve? Who else can I talk to? Where else can I look?". Working smarter means, in this case, doing what you love so that you don't even feel like working!
What I didn't like very much about this author's approach is the sometimes overly personal references. At least, I find he shares too much of his own doubts, negative views or personal experiences. Sometimes this is depressing. That makes me say his content is useful through advocating for originality and entrepreneurship. Still the way he takes one side on some topics doesn't make me feel he offers the wisest advice.
For example, he wrote on why he believes young people should not go to college: investing tens of thousands of dollars, four years and getting a diploma in a field that will soon be outdated. Instead offers 40 different ideas on what to do for really pushing your life forward and gaining business experience. While this might seem like a balanced approach from him, it becomes balanced merely for adults who already have the knowledge and discipline for many years of work. For young people graduating from high school - coming across this kind of advice, I believe it can be causing serious limitation, because an 18 year old doesn't usually have the discipline, sense of reality and work ethic that comes with persisting in achieving something: like a degree, or working to make a living while also studying. Having been through that stage myself not so long ago, I can say that has helped me a lot to build resilience and motivation!
To conclude on this one, I do recommend following James Altucher with his online resources, he offers many different materials on various topics, with a definitely original content. As always, personal judgement is needed to make the best decisions for yourself, irrespective of where you find inspiration.
At the time I'm writing this, I just came back with my feet on Earth after being in the cloud listening to an amazing audiobook that made me every 9 to 10 minutes or so ask myself: "Why didn't I think about this earlier?" or "Wow! I believed common folks didn't have access to such things" or "Why didn't I try this earlier?" and especially "I HAVE HAD THIS EBOOK ON MY COMPUTER FOR MORE THAN 3 YEARS! Why didn't I read it by now?". I believe this is the best resource I've found so far on the topic of working smarter. So here it is:
3. The 4 Hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss. This is full of incredible tools for a freedom-loving lifestyle. This is full of exact, step by step indications on how to use some tools that you believed are reserved only to the lucky few, born rich. Tim Ferriss is talking about: personal assistants and how to find incredibly educated, dedicated and effective people for a very affordable price (yes, such things do exist!). Also, he is talking about how to make money with you business in the developed markets (like the US) and spend it where they have much more value - like in Thailand, while living on a beach.
It's something you probably haven't heard much until now. A kind of book that hasn't been written before. It is the roadmap from being overworked and overstressed to becoming one of the New Rich. In this decade, this means: having a passive source of income, working a few hours a week and dedicating your time to what matters most to you: your family? Your children? Travelling? Sports? Social volunteering? Talk about working smarter!
If this is to have a downside, it's the following: the information here is not for everybody. Although employees also would find value in it, this is mainly a praise of the entrepreneur turned investor. This is a book full of tools for the courageous ones. So if your personal values are security, predictability and risk avoidance - don't try this; it will only frustrate you and make you believe that like such things don't exist.
For getting inspiration, I do recommend reading this book. eBook, audiobook, you'll want it all in the end, so you can track your progress. Tim is also a former Princeton student and a "rebellious" who has turned his back to the old system of living. He went through the established path of raising a successful young man and he invented his own way.
To sum up all the above, I hope you'll find inspiration in the resources I've mentioned. Each and every one of us is unique, so everything I've mentioned will impress you and apply to you in a different way. However, I hope you'll select valuable ideas to enhance what you already are mixing to create a better life for yourself!

Success Secrets - Do You Have What It Takes To Be Successful?
Do you have what it takes to be successful? A lot of people want to be successful, but most of them fail to achieve what they want. This is simply because they do not know what it takes to produce what they want in their lives. And in this article, you are going to learn that.
What you have to do right now is to follow through the principles of success that you are about to learn below. Make sure you use them in your life and use them wisely. So here are the keys that you need to help you become successful...
1. The first key you need is vision. Without knowing what you want, it is impossible that you can achieve it. You cannot hit a target that you cannot see. Thus, you need to define what you want to accomplish in your life right now. If you do not know what you want, you will end up going nowhere in your life.
2. Next, learn the principle of passion. Without passion, you will never do your best. Do you know that great people are successful because they are passionate in what they do? They love what they do and this is what makes them the best in their field. When you love to do something, you will have the energy and motivation to do it full out.
3. Third, create a plan so that you will know what you need to do each and everyday. If you do not know what to do, you will end up doing nothing or doing other things that will never contribute to your success. If you want to a great achiever, start your planning to achieve what you want right now.
4. Fourth, take consistent action everyday. Yes, this is a very common habit that you must have. If you are not doing anything, how can you produce what you want? Success will not come to you automatically. You have to understand that you need to do something to create the results you want.
5. Finally, adopt the spirit of never giving up. Try your best and put in 100% commitment until you get what you want. Successful people will never give up on their dreams. They will do whatever it takes and try every possible way to achieve what they want. You have to be the same. The moment you give up, you will waste all your previous effort that you have put in.

Challenge Your Beliefs and Achieve More
Mike could only swim 10 metres without swallowing too much pool water. He hated putting my face in the water and he hadn't ever been taught to breathe under water. He set himself a challenge of swimming 10 lengths within 10 weeks and what an interesting journey this was.
Prior to October he was not swimming at all. Throughout his challenge he swam between 3 and 6 times a week, and now he swims about twice a week.
On 30th December, one month ahead of schedule, he completed his challenge; swimming all 10 lengths. On 30th January he then went on to complete 20 lengths; and on the 17th April he completed 26 lengths.
Challenges
Throughout the challenge he had to combat the constant voice in his head telling him to stop and give up It told him some of the following things:
• You look stupid trying to swim
• You are getting in everyone's way in the pools
• It's harder to swim in the deep end
• You are not going to complete this challenge even if you swim 7 days a week
• You will never get the breathing right
• You're knackered, give up
• It doesn't matter, it's not that important
• The pool's too busy to swim today
• You look stupid stopping after 10 metres
• You are getting in everyone's way in the pools
• It's harder to swim in the deep end

Time
His time with his family and his time in bed had to decrease throughout the challenge. He tried to combine family with swimming on some occasions but this was not always possible. He thinks this is the main reason his swims to have decreased to around twice a week, is because he values his family and his sleep more than swimming.

Key motivators

What did Mike learn?
• Mike learnt that his limiting beliefs were the only factor preventing me from achieving his goal - in fact he could have achieved this challenge much earlier if his beliefs could have been tackled earlier.
• Stepping out of your comfort zone is very rewarding
• We human beings are naturally jealous and struggle to come to terms with someone who wants to achieve something or has achieved something, using sarcasm and humour to ridicule. I suppose some people are happy to live a life without achieving much and without challenging themselves so they cannot relate
• Confidence and self belief were key outcomes from achieving this goal. These were sometimes undermined by comments from colleagues/friends. Mike found that support was essential. He was fortunate to get great support, swim teacher, colleagues and his family.

You have all the answers to rise to any challenge. The only thing stopping you is YOU!
Challenge your own beliefs
Ask yourself the following questions:
1. How important is achieving this goal/objective?
2. What support do you need from others to assist you to succeed?
3. Do you know other people who have done this? If they can - why cant you?
4. Challenge the fear - what is the real likely hood of something bad? E.g. fear of flying - how many planes fly each day - how many crash?
5. Challenge silly thoughts - by saying "so what"
6. Get to the root of the problem - what is stopping you?
7. Re-affirm your goals - what will you get from achieving this? What will achieving this give you? If you achieve this what will this do for you?
8. Fast forward to the date - what would life be like if you failed? What would you feel like if you achieved this?

Two Keys to Turn Failure Into Success Now - Two Ways to Change Your Life
We win when we erase the line between what was possible for us before and what is possible now. ~ Gary Grant
With my eyes tightly closed my Uki (training partner), Pablo Malco, threw a succession of quick punches and kicks at me. Feeling his intention and his presence, I avoided first, a strike at my face, then a hay-maker to my cheek and as I felt his weight settle against his hip I sidestepped a swift kick aimed to my stomach. I felt each attack as a rush of air and, unadmittedly, a feeling of glee rose in my spirit.
Then there was Pablo's elbow. I don't know where it came from, but I do know where it went. It smacked right into the side of my face! I fell to the grass laughing.
For the moment, the game was lost. It was Pablo's turn.
"The game was lost?" Was that true? Was that how I was to measure myself up? Is that how we measure ourselves up against all the games we play in life?
. . . as Successful / Unsuccessful
Won / Lost
Spiritual / Unspiritual
Loved / Unloved
It seems sensible enough, to assess our progress through a hard division of black and white results. But what does that do to our spirit? How does that assessment play into our overall experience or sense of progress.
Surely, you've got your own games. Maybe it's not martial arts, maybe it's growing a successful company, maybe it's finding a loving partner in life or maybe it's being involved in a social movement or an internal spiritual one.
On your path, you're going to take steps. You're going to learn. You're going to practice. You're also going to stumble, and when you do, it's likely you'll throw in a quick assessment. . . "I've won. ". . . "I've lost. "
But there's no merit in either.
Sure, the quick, "I won. " can feel good, but it's here and gone. The finish-line crossed obscures the real gold in your step or practice.
If you ask me, "what then is the gold, if not the win?". . . before I answer, remember that this answer is coming from a fool. And one who beckons you to find the enlightened fool within yourself.
Again, the question. . . "What then is the gold, if not the win?"
There are two answers that are curiously interwoven:
One, that you simply enjoy the practice itself. You play. That you wear down any resistance that the practice was meant to "get you somewhere", and that when you got there, you then could access some other aspect of yourself: joy, respect, confidence, mindfulness, love or self-love. The movement, practice or step, was engaged wholly and you surrendered to it being a wondrous experience.
Secondly, finding the merit. Actually, finding the merit in each move. When we find the merit. . . the lesson, the contrast, the need, not only is it a strategic practice in resourcefulness, it is also the most powerful way to receive each present moment as a gift. We have risked ourselves. . . we have committed ourselves to a step or practice, that is typically, in contrast with 'who we've been' before in life. The gift of 'finding the merit' is throwing the small story of who we've been- what our limitations are, what we can or cannot handle- into the fire and looking to emerge with an experience or an intelligence that proves we are bigger than before. The gift is evidence that we have done or now know what to do.
And that, is the real line we are erasing. We win when, in any way, we erase the line between what was possible for us before and what is possible now.
We are not playing a win-lose, succeed-fail game anymore. When we play and find the merit in each moment of our game, there is never truly a loss. Because of our shift away from 'win-lose' thinking the following moments and movements are defined with a consciousness and clarity that were unavailable to us before our game.
Finally, in practicing these two distinctions, we are free from the pull to demoralize or harsh the person who would make their subsequent steps have greater and greater value. . . That person is ourselves. We stop being our silent enemy!
Children learn with ease. It is only later in life that their minds drift into such adult thoughts as 'where is this taking me' or 'I sucked at that'. And with those sensiblethoughts, as adults, we put on a gentle brake on learning and begin living into an imaginary future while losing the powerful opportunity here in the now.
Take your game and play. Find the Merit. Avoid that elbow and laugh. . . or fall and laugh, but take the gold and win either way.

Importance of Surrounding Yourself with the Right People
I've only been in Ohio 8 months. Making new friends in a new town where you know no one is not easy; however, surrounding yourself with the right people is critical to your ability to overcome adversity. Oprah says it best:
"Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo, but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down" - Oprah Winfrey
Last night I had a small party for friends from my church. I was fortunate to have a group of people who enjoyed themselves to the fullest without any air or pretense or expectation. Laughter came easily. We all felt comfortable in each other's presence. It was a wonderful feeling.
Are you feeling alone? Join a church. Become a member of Toastmasters if you want to be a better public speaker. What about local civic groups including but not limited to Kiwanis, Lion's or Rotary clubs? They provide wonderful networking as well new friendship opportunities.
When you go to these functions, go with the mindset of helping others. Become a matchmaker and bring people together without any expectation of return. Believe me, if you let go and let God, you will experience incredible abundance in return; however, you must make sure your heart is in the right place - otherwise the universal law of giving and receiving will not be complete.
How can you tell if they are genuine? Watch their behavior. I ask myself the following questions about people who come into my life (and be sure to put yourself in another person's shoes asking the same questions about you!).
Listen to how they speak. When you hold a conversation with them, is it all one-way? Or do they take time to listen to you? Do they appear to have your heart at interest when they're really trying to make a name for themselves? How do they treat you - with respect or do they treat you like a child?
Are they controlling and manipulative? When you confront them about this behavior, do they try to turn things around by saying that they were "just kidding" or make it look like it was your fault or say you're "imagining things?"
Are they willing to listen to your constructive criticism and take them at heart?
When you make a suggestion, do they act condescending or do they respect your opinions?
Are their behaviors congruent with what they say? Do they maintain integrity? Do they do what they say?
Do they really care about your achievements or do they appear jealous? Are they constantly telling you to see the big picture when they themselves aren't seeing it?
Listen to your intuition about the other person. If you feel a tightening of your stomach, your heart picks up a beat and you feel drained when around a certain person, your spirit is trying to tell you something. Listen to it. You may have to let go of that person with love. Find a way to move on without burning any bridges.
Let me ask you: Are your friends willing to take the bus with you when things go down the tubes?

How to Find Motivation in Life - 6 Tips to Be Motivated and Live a Better Life
Learning how to find motivation in life is one main factor that helps us live a happier and more fulfilled life. Yes, we do have dreams, aspirations and goals in life and being able to achieve them is one source of fulfillment and happiness in living.
You may have goals of losing weight, dreams of pursuing a passion or interest, plans of achieving success in your career and relationships, but without motivation, all these remain goals, plans and dreams if you are not motivated to achieve them and make them into reality.
Of course, we all want to see our real worth in life and that can be attained partly in being able to do things we want, do things we can do, do things for others and of course make yourself and others happy. If you seem to lack motivation in life, here are some ways on how to find motivation in life.
1. Be positive. Positive thoughts play a major role in your outlook in life and in giving you the motivation to reach for your dreams. If you are optimistic that you can do the task at hand, or you can reach your goals, you will be motivated to take those steps towards achieving it.
2. Find inspiration from the things and people around you. Whether it is nature's beauty, or great relationships from friends and family, being able to find inspiration has a positive impact in getting yourself motivated to do what you want to achieve and live a better life, so strive to make friends and keep a happy relationship with your family.
3. Break the routine. One of the things that can contribute to lack of motivation is doing the same things everyday and getting stuck into it without where you are heading. Sometimes you have to explore other opportunities, learn new skills and explore other interests. Do not be afraid to take risks, explore new ways of achieving your goals and get out of your comfort zone at times to discover new things around you and take advantage of new opportunities in life.
4. Take care of your health and manage stress in life. A tired and stressed body most often leads to lack of motivation to do what you want to do. Have a regular exercise. This will not only make you become stronger physically but will also lift up your mood to tackle life's challenges each day.
5. Find a reason in everything you do everyday. Most often, we feel mostly motivated if there is a need to do it. Finding the reason why you live your life each day will truly make everything easy and help you get motivated. Dedicating your efforts to someone you love and treasure is also a good motivation that you can give yourself. No matter what challenges you have to face, for as long as you know that you are doing it for someone you love, you will find yourself motivated to do it.
6. Understand that you will become a better person if you can learn how to find motivation in everything you do. You don't have to look far. You have to understand that finding motivation in life can help you live a better, happier and more fulfilling life - so do it for yourself.
